ELDER PATRIOT – The Washington Post is owned by Jeff Bezos. Bezos made his fortune from his ownership of Amazon.
Bezos has directed the editorial content of the Washington Post to run a jihad against Donald Trump. Bezos has also used Amazon to run a jihad against the traditional bricks and mortar retail industry in America.
Bezos’ attacks against Trump are personal even if veiled behind the veneer of the once venerable Washington Post so when he ordered the paper to run an editorial entitled How to remove Trump from office Trump hit back hard…very hard.
Yesterday afternoon Jack Ma, the executive chairman of the Chinese equivalent of Amazon exited the Golden Elevator at Trump tower with the president-elect by his side. Ma then announced his plans to help create one million jobs here in America:
“We’re focused on small business. We specifically talked about … supporting 1 million small businesses, especially in the Midwest of America. Small businesses on the platform selling products — agriculture products and America services — to China and Asia, because we’re pretty big in Asia.”
“Alibaba will create 1 million U.S. jobs by enabling 1 million American small businesses and farmers to sell American goods to China and Asian consumers on the Alibaba platform,” Ma said.
Just like that Trump introduced massive competition into Bezos’ world, an e-commerce world that until now he almost completely dominated.
Because of the agreement that Ma came to with Trump, America gains much-needed competition in its e-commerce sector, America’s entrepreneurial class gets a much needed boost after eight years of the Democrats’ unrelenting effort to destroy it, American workers gain one million jobs, President-elect Trump proves he’s open to international trade while at the same time it exposes the lies of those who conflated his call for equal trade as being against all trade.
Just as important is that the one million jobs that Ma is promising to generate will help replace the jobs that Bezos and Amazon have killed.
But, most satisfying of all, Trump publicly slapped Jeff Bezos without even mentioning his name.
